Rob Duskey
In the Wine Bar
Getting signed as the first rock act to Boston's Slanted House dance label really took Rob Duskey, a solo-acoustic singer-songwriter by trade, by surprise. In fact, just convincing him to transpose his coffee house capabilities to the main stage took something of an intervention by family and friends. A disciple of the songs-come-first mantra, Rob marked this transformation with Slanted's 2009 release of his first full-length album, Cautiously Optimistic, a straightforward cross-section of Rob's introspective style.

Silverlights
No Cover - In the Music Hall
"In July of 2010 I was watching all my previous bandmates forming new projects," explains bassist/cofounder of Silverlights Joshua Jansen, (Switched,Tinjen,Shambella). "Playing in a cover band was keeping me out on stage, but I wanted to be playing original material again." Through constant gigging in the cover band circuit Joshua reunited with drummer Mike Gould, (Kate Vogele, View From Everest). Through Mike, Joshua met Nathan Hedges, (Hudson Chase, View from Everest, Nathan Hedges & The Imports). "I had just barely met Nathan, and I was invited out to his birthday celebration," explains Joshua. "That was the first time I heard him sing, and at that point I knew he was the voice for the band." "We got together and the very first day wrote 2 songs, in a matter of minutes", Nathan states. "We both had our own previous material but decided to scratch it and start new. I've never worked with someone like Nathan before", Joshua remarks, "He and I share the same brain as writers."

Paul Franks
In the Wine Bar
Paul Franks is "Paul Unplugged", and is not your typical solo acoustic artist. While many solo acoustic acts cover or emulate other traditional singer/songwriters, Paul takes advantage of his 20+ years of electric guitar prowess combined with his front-man skills in various rock bands. This allows him to perform more complex arrangements on the acoustic guitar, as opposed to traditional chord strumming of most acoustic acts. The result is an engaging performance of acoustic versions of true rock songs, transcribed to bring in a unique acoustic feel, while retaining the original intent and rock appeal.

Marked by blazing horns, funky bass lines and a front-woman with sizzling pipes, Mojoflo rides a wave of old-school swagger mixed with contemporary cool.
